Zay Flowers has Been the Gift That Keeps on Giving for Lamar Jackson this Season
Baltimore Ravens’ No. 1 wide receiver Zay Flowers will be available to play in his team’s Week 17 tilt against the Houston Texans on Wednesday, just in time for Christmas. Flowers was listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury that kept him from practicing on Sunday and Monday, but he returned to practice on Tuesday in a limited capacity, giving reason for optimism that has now been realized.
Flowers has been having a stellar season, leading the Ravens with 109 targets, 71 receptions, and 1,016 yards. He’s been targeted 46 more times than any other Baltimore pass catcher and caught 32 more passes than any other receiver. Flowers also has four touchdown catches, developing quickly into Lamar Jackson’s top target.
His presence will be crucial as the Ravens aim to keep alive hopes of winning the AFC North when they take on the AFC South champions. The game against the Texans is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
