Baltimore Ravens receiver Zay Flowers’ knee injury is not season-ending, according to head coach John Harbaugh. However, the status of his return is uncertain, as Harbaugh noted that it will be day-to-day and will depend on how quickly Flowers can recover.
Flowers is coming off a strong rookie season in 2023, in which he earned Pro Bowl honors and caught 74 passes for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns. He will be joined by fellow wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who has also made big strides in his fourth NFL season, catching 45 passes for 756 yards and nine touchdowns.
Despite a lack of depth at the position, the Ravens have discovered a strong passing attack with quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry, who have become the first team in NFL history to pass for at least 4,000 yards and run for at least 3,000 in a season. The team also has a pair of tight ends, Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, who are significant targets for the passing game.
The Ravens are preparing for their first playoff game against Pittsburgh on Saturday, and Harbaugh expressed confidence in his team’s ability to make plays on offense. “We can move guys around different ways, scheme those guys up, and they can all make plays,” he said. In addition, Harbaugh noted that running back Justice Hill and offensive lineman Patrick Mekari are “trending well” after being limited by illness last weekend.
