Ravens’ Mark Andrews responds to death threats after critical playoff drop.

Mark Andrews Speaks Out After Crucial Dropped Conversion in NFL Playoffs

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has spoken out for the first time since his crucial dropped two-point conversion in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Andrews took to his Instagram page to express his feelings, admitting he is “absolutely gutted” by the loss and “devastated” for his teammates, coaches, and fans.

Despite facing ridicule and even death threats after the Ravens’ 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Andrews chose to take the high road, saying it’s “taken me until now to collect my thoughts and address this publicly.” He added that he refuses to let the situation define him, promising that this adversity will only make him stronger and fuel his team as they move forward.

Andrews thanked those who have shown him and his team support, including those who have generously donated to the Breakthrough T1D organization. A GoFundMe was launched by the “Bills Mafia,” which has raised over $100,000 for Andrews’ foundation. The Ravens addressed the classy move by the Bills fan base, calling it a “shout out” to Mark Andrews and a donation to a good cause.

Andrews’ drop couldn’t have come at a worse time, as a successful two-point conversion would have tied the game with less than two minutes to play in the fourth quarter. The Ravens have since moved on, with quarterback Lamar Jackson defending Andrews and saying it was a team loss.

Andrews finished his 2024 campaign with a career-high 11 receiving touchdowns among his 55 receptions for 673 yards.
