When popular rapper Quando Rondo has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal drug charge. The freshman rapper, whose real name is Chad “Quando Rondo” Bernard, was arrested in 2020 and faced charges of conspiring to distribute ecstasy and oxycodone in Shiaqon, a Chicago suburb.
According to court documents, Quando Rondo was accused of being part of a drug trafficking operation that distributed thousands of pills and other drugs in the Chicago area. In exchange for his plea of guilty, prosecutors agreed to drop a related charge of conspiring to commit an overdose that led to a death.
Under the sentence, Quando Rondo will serve six years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. The sentence is above the guideline range, but prosecutors have the discretion to make it longer.
