Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss Reveals Battle with Illness
Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss revealed on Sunday that he and his family are battling an internal illness, prompting him to wear glasses on air. Moss made the announcement on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown,” stating that he has “great doctors around me” and plans to “work through” the issue.
Moss, a former Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots wide receiver, didn’t specify what he is dealing with, but emphasized that it’s not related to his appearance on the show. He also encouraged his male followers to get regular checkups and blood work done.
The 47-year-old Moss, who will turn 48 in February, joined his ESPN co-hosts Mike Greenberg, Rex Ryan, Alex Smith, and Tedy Bruschi despite his health struggles. His co-hosts showed their support, with Greenberg saying, “If he’s wearing glasses, we’re all wearing glasses today.”
Moss played 14 years in the NFL, earning six Pro Bowl selections and four All-Pro honors.
