The Los Angeles Rams won their ninth game in their last 11, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 13-9 on Saturday. The game was a slow and steady win, with the Rams taking a 10-0 halftime lead and holding on for the win.
Kyren Williams scored a touchdown and Joshua Karly kicked a field goal in the second quarter, giving the Rams the early lead. The Cardinals finally got on the board in the third quarter with a Trey McBride touchdown, but the extra point was blocked, keeping the score tied.
Chad Ryland kicked a chip shot field goal in the fourth quarter, but the Rams were able to add another field goal to take a 13-9 lead. The Cardinals had one final chance to tie the game, but Kyler Murray was picked off again, this time off a dive by Ahkello Witherspoon.
Matthew Stafford was just 17 for 32 for 189 yards, while Murray was 33 for 48 for 321 yards, but the Rams’ defense was able to make the one touchdown and two turnovers by Murray prove too much to overcome. The win was the Rams’ fifth in a row.
