The relationship between coach and quarterback, which ended on rocky terms after a trade, appears to have been mended. The coach hasn’t ruled out the possibility of bringing the quarterback to the Raiders, citing the importance of considering every option to turn the team around.
“I promise you, if you’re a real competitor, you’re not letting options get away from you,” the coach said. “So we’re going to consider every option as a possibility, and we’ll go after it very aggressively, with intent, and hopefully with a sense and a feeling that people want to be part of this thing.”
The current quarterback options on the roster are Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell, who were acquired by previous administrations. The Raiders also hold the No. 6 overall pick, which could be used to draft a quarterback or for a potential trade-up for one of the top signal-callers in the 2025 NFL Draft.
