Rachel Sennott, co-writer and star of the 2023 film Bottoms, expressed her enthusiasm for the possibility of reuniting with co-star Ayo Edebiri for future projects. Sennott and Edebiri, who have worked together on the film, have been exploring opportunities for future collaborations.
In a recent interview, Sennott mentioned that she is currently working on an HBO series and hinted at the idea of collaborating with Edebiri again. Sennott emphasized that writing is a slow process, but she would love to work with her friends, including Edebiri, on future projects.
The success of Bottoms, which earned a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score, is attributed to its witty script, diverse cast, and bold humor. However, there is currently no update on a potential sequel to the film.
Sennott and Edebiri are both working on separate projects, with Sennott developing her HBO series and Edebiri set to appear in upcoming films and TV shows, including After the Hunt and Opus.
While a Bottoms sequel might not be imminent, Sennott’s comments suggest that the door is open for potential collaborations with Edebiri in the future.
