QB Coach Brings Spencer Rattler to the Freezer for Packers Prep.

New Orleans Saints Prepare for Freezing Conditions Against Green Bay Packers

The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for their Monday night game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, which is expected to feature freezing temperatures. To prepare for the cold, quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko took the team’s rookie quarterback, Spencer Rattler, into the cafeteria freezer, where it was 10 degrees, to run through the script. Rattler described the experience as helpful, saying it will help them be ready for the conditions.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, with temperatures expected to be around 31 degrees, feeling like 27 degrees with 5 mph winds. This will be Rattler’s fourth NFL start, and he has completed 57.5% of his passes for 706 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Saints are 0-3 in Rattler’s three starts and are currently 5-9 on the season, three games behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South.

Starting quarterback Derek Carr is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a hand injury, and Rattler will be leading the team onto the field. Janocko, who is in his first season as the Saints’ quarterbacks coach, was previously the QB coach for the Chicago Bears and held several offensive coaching roles with the Minnesota Vikings.
