Police divers search Central Park in hunt for CEO’s murderer.



Police divers were searching the waters of Central Park’s lake on Tuesday as part of a manhunt for the killer of a prominent CEO who was shot and killed outside his Manhattan apartment building.

The luxury condo building, located on the Upper East Side, is a popular high-rise residential complex with stunning views of Central Park. The building’s residents were in shock and distress after the shooting, which occurred just before 5:00 am on Tuesday.

According to police sources, the CEO, identified as 40-year-old James “Jim” Smith, was found lying in the lobby of the building, shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responders.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) seized the scene, cordonning off the area and cordoning off the entire building as part of the investigation. Multiple eyewitnesses were being interviewed, and security cameras were being analyzed in an effort to identify the perpetrator.

The manhunt had taken to the waters of Central Park, with police divers and snipers deployed to search for any signs of the killer, who was still on the loose and at large.

The CEO, who led a prominent tech firm, was known for his industry connections and philanthropic efforts. His death has sent shockwaves throughout the business community and beyond, with many expressing condolences and disbelief on social media.

The NYPD has trained its attention on the lake and surrounding areas, using trained cadaver dogs, forensic experts, and other specialized equipment in the search for the killer. Divers were searching the lake, while snipers were perched on rooftops and in surrounding buildings to ensure the safety of the community.

The search continued under the watchful eye of the police, as the community held its breath in the wake of the brutal slaying of a man who lived and breathed by the lake that now held such cruel significance in his final moments.
