The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers detained two people at Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Brentwood on Saturday during curfew hours. The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. when a call was made to the West L.A. station reporting a potential burglary on the Vice President’s property.

Upon arrival, officers found two individuals on the property, reportedly dressed in all black, although this detail has not been officially confirmed. The individuals were detained for breaking curfew, but were subsequently released as no evidence was found that they were committing a crime.

Details about the incident are extremely limited, and police have not commented on what the individuals were doing on the Vice President’s property or whether the incident will be further investigated. The detention occurred during a time of heightened concern in the area due to the Palisades Fire, which has already destroyed over 5,000 structures and claimed five lives.

As the fire continues to burn, National Guard members and local law enforcement are patrolling fire zones from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., prepared to arrest anyone found trespassing, looting, or committing other violations.
