New England Patriots Introduce Mike Vrabel as Head Coach and Josh McDaniels as OC
The New England Patriots announced the hiring of Mike Vrabel as the team’s new head coach and Josh McDaniels as its offensive coordinator. Vrabel, who coached the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2024, brings a wealth of experience and success to the Patriots, boasting a 54-45 record and three playoff trips during his tenure.
Vrabel made it clear that he wants to surround himself with “great people” and develop quarterback Mac Maye, a key piece to the team’s future success. To help Maye reach his potential, the Patriots hired Josh McDaniels, a familiar face who has previously held the title of OC in New England.
Maye praised McDaniels’ impressive coaching history, including his work with Tom Brady, and sees the opportunity to learn from a coach who has achieved great success. “Got a great chance to go back and study all those years of film, all their play calls and all coach McDaniels’ stuff,” Maye said. “It’s fortunate for me to go back and get ready for this next season.”
With Vrabel and McDaniels at the helm, the Patriots are tasked with turning around their struggling franchise and cultivating Maye into a top quarterback. The combination of Vrabel’s leadership and McDaniels’ expertise could be a winning formula for the Patriots.
