Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has earned numerous accolades throughout his career, but his ability to stay healthy and on the field cannot be overstated. With just two games missed in seven seasons as a starter due to injury, Mahomes has consistently put his body on the line to lead his team to success.

As the Chiefs prepare to face the Houston Texans on Saturday, Mahomes will aim to lead his team to their fifth consecutive win, with a victory coupled with a Buffalo Bills loss potentially securing the AFC’s top seed. This season, Mahomes has completed 335 of 502 passes (66.7%) for 3,348 yards and 22 touchdowns with 11 interceptions, showcasing his impressive passing abilities.

Mahomes has also utilized his mobile skills on the ground, rushing for 262 yards, with many of those coming in critical situations. The team’s offense has also been boosted by the addition of receiver Andre Brown, who signed a one-year deal during free agency. However, a preseason shoulder injury and subsequent surgery has forced the Chiefs to look for other sources of production.

The Chiefs take on the visiting Texans at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, looking to extend their winning streak and close in on the top seed in the AFC.
