Tennis Legend Pam Shriver Reunited with Stolen Trophies

Tennis legend Pam Shriver has finally been reunited with her stolen trophies. The Hall of Fame tennis pro posted on social media that the Los Angeles Police Department returned several pieces of hardware and sentimental items, including trophies, family photos, and her stolen car, which was taken while she was staying in a hotel after evacuating her home due to the devastating wildfires.

Shriver had loaded her car with some of her personal belongings, including the trophies, and family photos, before evacuating the area. The car, including everything inside, was taken while she was staying at the hotel. Shriver said the trophies were buried in the back of the car and were not easily visible, and she didn’t think they would be of any use to the person who stole the car, who later returned them.

The returned trophies included five trophies for winning the U.S. Open women’s doubles event and four French Open doubles trophies she won with Martina Navratilova, with whom she won 20 out of 21 titles.

Shriver expressed her relief and gratitude for the return of her trophies, saying, “It’s too long a story for a post. We still hope to find the black Dodge Durango Hellcat in one piece.” Her home was not damaged in the wildfires, but she still wonders where her belongings ended up, saying she would like to know where they had been.

The Los Angeles Police Department was able to identify the person who dropped off the trophies using security camera footage, which showed a car matching the description of Shriver’s stolen Dodge Durango Hellcat.
