The Green Bay Packers used the elements to their advantage on Thanksgiving, claiming a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in the final game of the NFL’s Thanksgiving quadrupleheader. Despite a slow start, the Packers were unbothered by the chilly conditions, with quarterback Jordan Love going 21-for-28 for 274 yards and two touchdowns to Jayden Reed.
After a Miami punt was muffed and recovered by Green Bay inside the 10-yard line, Love hit Reed for a touchdown, and the Packers never looked back. The team added a 12-play drive, finished by Josh Jacobs, to take an early 10-0 lead. Miami made a field goal on their next drive, but the Packers responded with two more touchdowns and a field goal to take a 24-3 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Dolphins cut the deficit to 24-17, but Green Bay’s defense shut them down, forcing a turnover on downs and adding a field goal to seal the win. Love and Reed connected for their second touchdown, and the Packers held on for the 30-17 victory.
Tyreek Hill did find the end zone late in the game, but it was too little, too late. Tua Tagovailoa went 36-for-45 for 357 yards, with Jonnu Smith leading all receivers with 10 catches for 113 yards. The loss drops the Dolphins to 5-7, while the Packers improve to 9-3, despite remaining in third place in the NFC North.
