Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Expected to Miss Rest of the Season

Jaire Alexander has not played for the Green Bay Packers since Week 11, and it’s unlikely he will play again this season. Head coach Matt LaFleur revealed that Alexander, who has been dealing with a PCL tear, is likely out for the remainder of the Packers’ campaign.

Alexander recently underwent a knee scope to clean out some loose bodies and alleviate swelling. While he will undergo rehab, it’s possible that he could be ready to return in a few weeks. Despite this, Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot and will be on the road for Super Wild Card Weekend after its regular-season finale.

Alexander has missed nine games this year, leaving the Green Bay defense without its two-time Pro Bowl cornerback. As the third-highest paid corner in the game, Alexander’s absence has been a significant blow. Over the past four regular seasons, he will have played in only 34 of a possible 68 games due to injury problems.

Alexander’s 2024 campaign will end with him having posted 16 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions in seven games.
