Over four years, I’ve repeatedly hit slumps in various endeavors.

Chicago Bears’ Jaylon Johnson Reflects on Frustating Five-Game Losing Streak

Chicago Bears star cornerback Jaylon Johnson has lost patience with the team’s current slide, which has extended to five games. Speaking with the Associated Press, Johnson expressed his frustration, citing his past experiences in similar slumps.

“I’ve been in slumps four, five years in a row now,” Johnson said. “So, I mean at the end of the day, I don’t look for, ‘OK, what is going to be better in the future?’… It will be better when it’s better. So, right now, it’s not better. That’s all I can go off of.”

The Bears’ struggles have been ongoing, with the team failing to post a winning season since 2018. Their best record since Johnson joined in 2020 was an 8-8 finish in his rookie year. The latest setback was a 30-27 loss to Minnesota, where self-inflicted mistakes nearly led to a double-digit defeat. Instead, the Bears had to mount a furious comeback to make the game close.
