Nvidia to Set Up Taiwan Headquarters.

NVIDIA Corporation to Build New Headquarters in Taiwan

According to a report by Commercial Times, citing a government official, NVIDIA Corporation is planning to build a new headquarters in Taiwan. The chipmaking giant is prioritizing Taipei as the location for its regional headquarters and is seeking around three hectares of land for the project. The local city government is also reportedly assisting Nvidia in the matter.

Taiwan is a significant part of Nvidia’s supply chain, as the country’s TSMC, the largest chipmaker, fabricates the company’s advanced artificial intelligence chips. Nvidia also has collaborations with electronics giant Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd.

In a statement earlier this year, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced plans to increase the company’s presence in Taiwan by building a research and development hub in the country and hiring over 1,000 people in the coming years.
