Phoenix Suns Beat Denver Nuggets 110-100 Behind Durant and Beal’s 27 Points Each
Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal each scored 27 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 110-100 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night. The Suns were missing Devin Booker (groin) and Grayson Allen (concussion protocol) but still managed to put up a strong fight against the Nuggets, who had won 117-90 in their previous meeting.
Nikola Jokić led the Nuggets with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points and Russell Westbrook had 17. Jamal Murray returned to the lineup after missing Monday’s game with a sprained ankle and contributed 13 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The Suns took advantage of Jokić resting late in the third quarter and early in the fourth to stretch their lead to 12, which they were able to hold onto down the stretch. Phoenix outscored Denver 15-6 in transition and made 11 of 36 three-point attempts, with Monte Morris providing a spark off the bench with 11 points and three assists.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Suns, while the Nuggets’ loss ended a brief winning streak. The Nuggets will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, while the Suns will host the Dallas Mavericks.
