Noah Lyles mocks Tyreek Hill after sprint victory.

American Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles has called out Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill after winning the 60-meter dash at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on Sunday. Lyles crossed the finish line in 6.52 seconds, beating out several other top sprinters.

After his win, Lyles turned his bib around to show the camera, displaying the phrase “Tyreek could never.” He then challenged Hill to a race, saying “When you’re ready to actually put some words down, and you’re actually ready to race, see me. I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. But all I know is, your football season’s over. You ain’t got no excuse now.”

Hill had previously called out Lyles in August after the Olympic sprinter won the 100-meter gold medal, but Lyles refused to wager his gold medal in a race. Hill had suggested that a few of his Miami Dolphins teammates, including running back Raheem Mostert, could hold their own against Lyles in a race. Mostert believes that Lyles brought up the idea of racing Hill in a 60-yard dash, and he thinks that several of their teammates could run with him.

Hill responded to Lyles’ challenge on social media, saying “Get a load of this guy.” The challenge has now been extended, with Lyles and Hill vying for attention and a spotlight in the sports world.
