Doctry allegedly made the threat online via social media, targeting a specific staff member, and was charged with making terroristic threats. Additional charges are pending. The threat was reported on Sunday, and authorities immediately launched an investigation, working with the Montclair Board of Education, the FBI, and other local agencies to identify the source of the threat.

As a precautionary measure, all schools in the district were closed on Monday. According to authorities, Doctry allegedly threatened to shoot and kill the principal of Northeast Elementary School, where he was a staff member.

Following Doctry’s arrest, police stated there was no further danger to the community, assuring that the safety of the schools, students, staff, and residents remained their top priority. Authorities encouraged parents, students, and staff to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Montclair Police Department.
