Former NHL Star Dominik Hasek Takes a Jab at Trump, Thanks Eminem for Supporting Vice President Harris
Dominik Hasek, a legendary NHL goalie, took a shot at former President Donald Trump on social media, thanking rapper Eminem for his support of Vice President Kamala Harris. Eminem recently stumped for Harris in Detroit, introducing former President Barack Obama to the stage.
Hasek, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, said, “Thank you Eminem for supporting democracy against dictatorship, evil and endless lies. In the city where I spent a beautiful part of my hockey career.” The Hockey Hall of Famer spent 18 seasons in the NHL, playing for the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators.
Eminem, a long-time critic of Trump, emphasized the importance of voting in the upcoming election. “Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever,” he said. “And I think it’s important to use your voice. So, I’m encouraging everyone to go out and vote, please.”
Hasek, nicknamed “The Dominator” for his impressive goaltending skills, led the NHL in save percentage for six consecutive seasons and won four Hart Trophies for the league’s top goalie. He won both of his Stanley Cup titles with the Detroit Red Wings.
It remains to be seen whether Eminem’s support for Harris will sway votes in the upcoming election. />
