Thanksgiving Day NFL Games Kick Off with Traditional Turkey Day Slate
The National Football League (NFL) returns with its traditional Thanksgiving Day schedule, featuring a full slate of games. The Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears, while the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants, and the Green Bay Packers face off against the Miami Dolphins.
The Lions, who have played on Thanksgiving Day since 1934, aim to pick up their first Turkey Day win in nearly a decade. They open the day against the Bears, who have won the last three meetings on Thanksgiving. The game marks the organization’s 85th Thanksgiving Day game.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys, who have been playing on Thanksgiving Day since 1966, host the struggling Giants. Despite their impressive home record, the Cowboys are 0-5 at AT&T Stadium this season, and a win would be a crucial step towards building momentum.
The Green Bay Packers close out the day against the Miami Dolphins, who defeated the New York Jets to win the league’s first-ever Black Friday game last season. The Dolphins enter the matchup on a hot streak, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing seven touchdown passes without an interception in their last two games.
The NFL has also scheduled a Black Friday matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, set to kick off at 3 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
All three Thanksgiving Day games can be streamed live on various platforms, with kickoff times scheduled for 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 8:20 p.m. ET.
