New Police Bodycam Footage Reveals Bizarre Behavior of Ohio Teen Convicted of Murder for Intentionsally Crashing Car into Wall at 100 mph

Newly released police bodycam footage reveals the dramatic and bizarre moments when Ohio teen Mackenzie Shirilla, now 19, was arrested and taken into custody for her role in intentionally crashing her car into a wall at 100 mph, killing her boyfriend and his passenger in July 2022.

The footage, released by the Strongsville Police Department, shows Shirila being asked to step out of a police SUV after being arrested for aggravated murder, to which she tearfully responds. In a shocking move, Shirila then asks the officer to be careful with her bracelet, expressing concern that it might break.

The officer reassures her, promising not to tighten her handcuffs and hurting her. The footage also shows Shirila trying to rest and close her eyes during the drive to the police station, appearing calm and collected despite the devastating circumstances.

The incident occurred on July 22, 2022, when Shirila intentionally crashed her Toyota Camry into a brick wall in Strongsville, Ohio, to end her toxic relationship with her boyfriend, Dominic Russo. His friend, Davion Flanagan, was just a passenger in the car at the time of the incident.

Shirila was found guilty of four counts of murder and other charges and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison in 2023. The judge ordered that the two terms be served at the same time, making her eligible for parole in 15 years.
