New Orleans Terrorist Attacker Raised “Red Flags” Before Carnage

Behavioral analyst Susan Constantine claims that Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the perpetrator of the New Year’s Eve terrorist attack in the French Quarter, displayed several “red flags” before carrying out the attack that left 14 civilians dead.

According to Constantine, Jabbar’s behavior was “anomaly” and raised suspicions as he walked around the French Quarter wearing a formal-looking coat and glasses, carrying a cooler on wheels, and frequently looking at his phone.

“He’s texting very quickly, obviously in communication with someone else,” Constantine told Fox News Digital. “And then he’s motioning to someone. These are all red flags.”

In surveillance footage released by the FBI, Jabbar can be seen waving around the 2:30-minute mark, which Constantine believes may have been an attempt to look less “conspicuous” rather than waving to an accomplice.

“It was so blatantly obvious that it was literally disgusting,” Constantine said of Jabbar’s wave. “You have to think how they think: How would they try to appear normal? They’re performers and actors. I think we need to have more education to consumers, because officers and security can’t have their eyes everywhere.”

Constantine also pointed out several other oddities in Jabbar’s behavior, including his tendency to pace, his formal clothing, and his frequent texting.

“This is what we see over and over and over again,” Constantine said. “There are behavioral indicators of the anomaly.”

The FBI has released videos showing Jabbar’s movements before the attack, including footage of him carrying the IEDs in coolers. The agency has also stated that Jabbar acted alone, but a New Orleans Field Office spokesperson told Fox News Digital that “all things are under investigation at this point” regarding the possibility of accomplices.

Jabbar’s motivation for the attack was reportedly ISIS extremism, and he had previously visited New Orleans on two occasions, as well as Cairo, Egypt, and Toronto, Canada. The FBI is continuing to investigate the attack and is looking into whether Jabbar had any accomplices.
