New Orleans attack shows signs of a larger, more sinister plot beyond the deceased suspect.

New Orleans attack appears to have ‘hallmarks’ of something beyond deceased suspect, former police officer says

A former New Orleans police officer is raising questions about the attack on a French Quarter hotel that left several people injured and one suspect dead, suggesting that the incident may have had “hallmarks” of something beyond the actions of the deceased suspect.

The attack occurred on May 28, when a group of people armed with hammers and a gun entered the Bienville House Hotel, a historic building in the French Quarter. The suspects, including a man who was later identified as the gunman, attacked guests and employees, leaving several people injured.

The suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Matthew Dewitt Kitchens, was shot and killed by police during the incident. However, a former police officer, who wished to remain anonymous, told a local news outlet that the attack appeared to have “hallmarks” of something beyond Kitchens’ actions.

According to the former officer, the suspects seemed to be targeting specific individuals, and the attack was “too coordinated” to be the work of a single individual. The officer also noted that the suspects appeared to be wearing what looked like military-style gear, which further raised suspicions.

“I’ve been around the block a few times, and I’ve seen some crazy stuff,” the former officer said. “But this, this was something different. It had a level of sophistication and planning that I’ve never seen before.”

The attack has left many in the community shaken, and authorities are still investigating the motive behind the incident. While officials have not released any further information about the investigation, the former police officer’s comments have sparked concerns that the attack may have been more complex than initially thought.

In the meantime, the city of New Orleans is still reeling from the aftermath of the attack, and residents are left wondering how such a brazen and coordinated attack could have occurred in the heart of the city’s tourism district.
