Netflix Reveals 2025 Release Schedule, Including Knives Out 3 and Frankenstein
Netflix has unveiled its entire 2025 release schedule, which includes a range of films across various genres. The streaming service has already kicked off the year with the release of Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, which is up for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards, and Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s action-comedy Back in Action, which has topped their Global Top 10 for two straight weeks.
One of the most anticipated titles of 2025 is Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third installment in the Knives Out franchise, which is set for release in fall 2025. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is also expected to arrive in November 2025.
Other major releases include The Old Guard 2 on July 2, Fear Street: Prom Queen in summer 2025, and Noah Baumbach’s newly-titled Jay Kelly, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Rip, and an untitled Kathryn Bigelow film, all set for fall 2025.
In the spring, Netflix will release Havoc, an action-thriller starring Tom Hardy, and Nonnas, a comedy starring Vince Vaughn, on May 9. A Merry Little Ex-Mas and The Woman in Cabin 10, a thriller starring Keira Knightley, are both set for fall 2025.
Netflix’s 2025 film slate offers a mix of genre fare and prestige dramas, with some exciting filmmakers attached to high-profile projects. While the early part of the year may see some underwhelming releases, the latter part of the year promises to be more exciting, with anticipated titles from Rian Johnson, Guillermo del Toro, Noah Baumbach, and Kathryn Bigelow.
