Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again, better known as NBA Youngboy, has been granted a prison release date after he reached a plea deal in connection with a 2020 arrest that saw him charged with gun and drug possession.
According to reports, Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of paraphernalia possession and will serve 18 months in prison, with the sentence to be followed by two years of supervised release.
The 22-year-old rapper was arrested in February 2020 and was initially charged with possession of a firearm and drug possession, with prosecutors alleging that he possessed a firearm and 40 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop.
