Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, recently called out First Lady Jill Biden, suggesting that she should consider President Biden’s legacy. In a column published by Politico, Pelosi stated that if she were Jill Biden, she would “put on her big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy.” Pelosi noted that she was only speaking for herself and that there aren’t many people left in America who have something nice to say about President Biden.
Pelosi’s comments come after First Lady Jill Biden expressed disappointment in Nancy Pelosi over her role in influencing President Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race. In an interview with the Washington Post, Jill Biden stated that she was disappointed in how the situation unfolded and that she was friends with President Biden for 50 years.
According to Politico, Nancy Pelosi had tried to speak to President Biden following his decision to exit the race, but was repeatedly met with the same response from his top advisers: “The answer is no.” Pelosi had also suggested that President Biden should have dropped out of the race sooner, which was seen as another opening for him to do so.
President Biden has since expressed regret over dropping out of the race and has insisted that he could have beaten Trump.
