Michigan QB Alex Orji Enters Transfer Portal



Transfer season is in full swing in college football once again. The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, and will close on Saturday, Dec. 28. Players on teams that compete in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff and later bowl games will be allowed to enter an additional five-day transfer portal window in January after the portal closes.

Here are some of the players who are testing the waters and transferring:

* Michigan QB Alex Orji, who has two years of remaining eligibility, has entered the transfer portal.
* Boise State QB Malachi Nelson, who has thrown just 17 passes this season, is entering the transfer portal.
* Boston College QB Thomas Castellanos, who started 20 games for the Eagles, has signed with Florida State.
* Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman, a highly touted recruit, has committed to Houston.
* Alabama QB Dylan Lonergan, who has played just three games across his two seasons at Alabama, is entering the transfer portal.
* Tulane QB Darian Mensah, who led the Green Wave to a 9-3 record and an AAC Championship Game berth, is heading to Duke.
* USC WR Duce Robinson, a sophomore receiver and baseball player, is entering the transfer portal.
* Duke QB Maalik Murphy, who set a school record with 26 touchdown passes this season, is returning to the transfer portal.
* Wisconsin QB Tyler Van Dyke, who suffered an ACL injury in Week 3, is entering the portal for the second time.
* Ohio State QB Devin Brown, who lost a close QB competition to Kyle McCord in 2023, is entering the transfer portal.
* Western Kentucky QB TJ Finley, who started three games this season, is entering the transfer portal for the fifth time.
* Michigan RB Cole Cabana, a former four-star recruit, is entering the transfer portal.
* Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold, a former five-star recruit, is entering the transfer portal.
* Iowa QB Cade McNamara, who struggled in 2024 with just 1,017 yards and six touchdowns, is entering the transfer portal for the second time.
* Stanford QB Ashton Daniels, who started nine games this season, is entering the transfer portal.
* Michigan WR Tyler Morris, who paced the Wolverines with 23 catches and 248 yards, is entering the transfer portal.
* USC QB Miller Moss, who started 12 games across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, is entering the transfer portal.
* Liberty QB Kaidon Salter, who won the 2023 Conference USA MVP, is entering the transfer portal.
* FIU QB Keyone Jenkins, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, is entering the transfer portal.
* Texas Tech WR Micah Hudson, a former 25th-ranked overall recruit, is entering the transfer portal.
* FIU WR Eric Rivers, who was statistically one of the best wide receivers in the country in 2024, is entering the transfer portal.
* North Carolina State WR Kevin Concepcion, who won ACC Rookie of the Year and was named a freshman All-American in 2023, is entering the transfer portal.
* Georgia CB Julian Humphrey, a third-year sophomore, is entering the transfer portal.
