Miami teammates clash on sideline during Pop-Tarts Bowl.

From what we all see on social media, the Pop-Tarts Bowl is full of hilarious content. But an incident during the game between the Miami Hurricanes and the Iowa State Cyclones may have overshadowed the fun. During the game, a fight broke out between senior Simeon Barrow Jr. and freshman Marquise Lightfoot, with Barrow Jr. throwing a punch and Lightfoot shoving him.

The incident came after a high-scoring first quarter in which the Hurricanes allowed 21 points to Iowa State, who went on to win the game 42-41. Quarterback Cam Ward, a likely first-round draft pick, only played in the first half before he exited the game after Miami regained a 31-28 lead before halftime.

Despite the loss, the Pop-Tarts Bowl still had its moment to shine, as a mascot ran onto the field and a football game was won with a game-winning touchdown from the Cyclones. The loser of the game, the Hurricanes, were seeking to play in the ACC title game, but lost their chance after a loss to Syracuse in the final week of the season.
