During the Amazin’ Day panel at Citi Field, Cohen revealed that while the Mets have made a “significant offer” to Alonso’s agent, Scott Boras, the negotiations are proving to be a challenge.
Cohen disclosed that the negotiations are “extremely asymmetric against us” due to the current structures being proposed.
