Matt Gaetz plots revenge with Congressional comeback bid

Former Representative Matt Gaetz May Not Be Done Inciting Chaos in Congress

In the wake of a report that the House Ethics Committee had taken a secret vote to release its investigatory report into his conduct, former Representative Matt Gaetz may still have a few tricks up his sleeve. Initially, Gaetz claimed he had been “FULLY EXONERATED” and that his behavior had been “embarrassing, though not criminal.” However, he then took a more aggressive stance, revealing a plan to show up to Congress, take his seat, and unleash chaos upon his colleagues.

According to a tweet, Gaetz proposed the following plan: showing up to Congress on January 3, 2025, participating in the Speaker election, taking the oath, filing a privileged motion to expose every “me too” settlement paid using public funds, and then resigning and heading to One America News Network.

Several individuals, including a co-host on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, Natalie Winters, praised Gaetz’s tweet, calling it “the giving season.” Gaetz responded with a simple “It is the giving season.”
