Master P, the legendary hip-hop entrepreneur and philanthropist, has issued a heartfelt message to his hometown of New Orleans following the recent terror attack on the city. The rap mogul and native son of New Orleans took to social media to share his thoughts and offer words of encouragement to the community.
“New Orleans, I love you, and I’m hip to this senseless violence that’s plagued our city again,” Master P began. “We’re stronger than this, New Orleans. We’re resilient, and we’re gonna get through this together. I know we are.”
Master P went on to acknowledge the pain and fear that many are feeling in the aftermath of the attack, but he also emphasized the importance of standing united and supporting one another.
“We’re not gonna let these cowards bring us down, we’re not gonna let them take away our spirit, and we’re not gonna let them create division in this city,” he said. “We’re gonna come together, we’re gonna stand strong, and we’re gonna move forward together.”
The rapper also extended a message of hope and compassion to the families of the victims and to those who were injured in the attack. “My heart breaks for those whose lives were altered forever by this senseless act of violence,” he wrote. “I want you to know that you’re not alone, and I want you to know that you’re loved.”
Master P concluded his message by urging the people of New Orleans to remember their strength and their collective power. “We are New Orleans, and we’re gonna overcome this,” he said. “We’re gonna rise above it, and we’re gonna shine even brighter than ever before.”
