ANGRY PIZZA DRIVER STABBES CUSTOMER FOR SMALL TIP, PROBERS SAY
A delivery driver allegedly clocked out of work and returned to a motel room later that night to stab the female customer 14 times after she only received a $2 tip on a $33.10 order.
According to Florida investigators, Brianna Alvelo, 22, was working at Marco’s Pizza in Kissimmee when she was dispatched to deliver food to the Riviera Motel around 10 PM on Sunday evening. The customer, Melinda Irizarry, 26, her boyfriend, Bobby Brooks, and their five-year-old daughter were celebrating Brooks’ birthday.
When Irizarry handed Alvelo a $50 bill and received only $2 in change, Alvelo allegedly rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything.
According to an arrest affidavit, 90 minutes after the food delivery, Alvelo and a male accomplice, both dressed in black and wearing facemasks, returned to the motel. The male suspect brandished a gun, while Alvelo rummaged through Irizarry’s purse and the family’s belongings, even smashing the child’s Nintendo Switch.
When Alvelo pulled out a knife, Irizarry turned away to shield her daughter, and Alvelo allegedly began striking Irizarry multiple times with the knife. Irizarry was stabbed 14 times and hospitalized in stable condition. She later discovered she was a few weeks pregnant.
Alvelo was arrested on Monday and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and home invasion with a firearm. She is being held in the Osceola County jail without bond. The male companion has not been identified.
