Mahomes to play first game as father of three, mirroring Brady’s early days as a young dad.

Patrick Mahomes to Face High Stakes as First-Time Father of Three on the Field

Patrick Mahomes will take the field on Saturday for the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round playoff game, just days after welcoming his third child, daughter Golden Raye, on January 12. With his wife Brittany, Mahomes is now a father of three children, and this marks his first time playing as a father of three. As the quarterback faces the historic pressure of trying to lead his team to a third straight Super Bowl title, he also has personal pressure of fathering a new baby girl.

Mahomes’ situation differs from that of Tom Brady, who had his third child, daughter Vivian Lake, on December 5, 2012, before the playoffs. Brady’s first game after having his third child was against the Houston Texans, and he had a dominant performance, throwing for 296 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

As Mahomes faces the high-stakes task of leading his team to a third straight Super Bowl, he has a higher bar to live up to. With a divisional round victory, the Chiefs will be just two wins away from taking home their unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title, and Mahomes’ performance will be under the spotlight. Taylor Swift is set to attend the game, possibly alongside Brittany Mahomes.

In a recent interview, Mahomes expressed his contentment with having three children, saying he had always wanted to stop at three, and that he and his wife will reevaluate having another child in the future. If Mahomes is able to replicate Brady’s performance from 2012, his feat may be even more recognized. The pressure is on for Mahomes, but he has already shown his determination and focus on the sport, and it remains to be seen whether he can lead his team to a historic third straight Super Bowl title.
