L’Oreal in talks to acquire Migros’ South Korean cosmetic unit.

French cosmetics giant L’Oreal SA is close to acquiring Gowoonsesang Cosmetic, a South Korean skincare business owned by Mibelle Group, according to Reuters. An announcement is expected as soon as Monday. Mibelle Group, a unit of Swiss retailer Migros, acquired its stake in Gowoonsesang Cosmetics in 2018, which sells skin care products under the Dr.G brand. Earlier this year, Migros engaged in a strategic review to find a new owner for the business.
