President Donald Trump Raises Questions About Running for Third Term

President Donald Trump has hinted that he may be considering running for a third term in office, despite the constitutional limit of two terms. During a speech at the House Republican Members Conference dinner in Doral, Florida, Trump said he wasn’t “100% sure” that he couldn’t run for a third term, adding that he has raised a lot of money for the next race that he can’t use for himself.

This is not the first time Trump has hinted at the possibility of seeking three terms in office. In a previous appearance, he remarked that it would be the greatest honor of his life to serve not once, but twice or three times.

However, it is unclear whether Trump could actually run for a third term, as the US Constitution prohibits a president from serving more than two terms. Some have suggested that Trump may be considering a constitutional amendment to allow him to run again, but this would require a difficult and unlikely process.

In other comments, Trump reiterated his fondness for the social media app TikTok and his preference that it be sold by its Chinese-based parent company, ByteDance. He also reaffirmed his commitment to protecting Medicare and Social Security benefits, saying that he will not sign a bill that includes even a single penny of cuts.

Trump also commented on the recent mass deportation effort launched under his administration, saying that Colombia agreed with the effort “almost immediately after I got involved.” Additionally, he praised the announcement by a Chinese artificial intelligence company that unveiled a ChatGPT-like AI model operating at a fraction of the cost of comparable US models, calling it a “wake-up call” for US tech companies.
