Regardless of the Ugly Win, Seattle Seahawks Still Have Hope After Fighting to Victory

Despite struggling to a very ugly win on Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks still have hope after a makeup game against the Bears. In a bizarre contest, both teams failed to score a touchdown, the first time this had happened since 1987. The result was a game with six-plus punts, three-plus sacks taken, two-plus fumbles, and at least one turnover, making it the lowest-scoring affair in the league this season and the second sans a touchdown.

The Seahawks’ victory didn’t win them the most stylish way, but they took care of business. Now, they’ll focus on the upcoming Saturday night showdown between the Cardinals and Rams, the nightcap of an NFL Network tripleheader, which will be a must-see for the Seahawks.

“I’m going to watch every snap,” coach Macdonald said, disregarding optics.

The Seahawks will hope for the best as they wait and see how the rest of Week 17 unfolds and what becomes of their Week 18 prospects. “Honestly, we shouldn’t be in this position, and that’s the main thing, is understanding we’ve got to control our destiny when we can,” said Smith. “But yeah, I’m going to be a big Kyler Murray fan on Saturday. If they get it done, they get it done, but we’re going to go into this last week of the season with the same mindset no matter what.”
