Leaving Colleagues to Shoulder the Burden

Tua Tagovailoa Laments His Injuries, Feels Offense Has Suffered Without Him

Since returning to the field, the Miami Dolphins have gone 3-3, with two one-possession losses in his first two games back. The team has managed to remain competitive, but a 30-17 loss in Green Bay was a stark reminder of their struggles. Tagovailoa feels that the team’s offense would be thriving if he had been on the field all along.

“I feel like this has a lot to do with myself obviously putting myself in harm’s way in the second game, going down – basically leaving my guys out to dry, that’s what I would say,” Tagovailoa lamented ahead of Miami’s Week 14 game against the Jets.

A year ago, Tagovailoa completed a full season for the first time in his career and led the Dolphins to a wild-card berth with a highly explosive offense. Now, he’s once again been forced out of action and watched his team pay the price. Despite this harsh reality, Tagovailoa is not giving up. However, with the team’s playoff chances dwindling, they will need to make a miraculous turnaround to reach the postseason.
