Las Vegas Authorities Identify Suspect in Cybertruck Explosion

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has identified a suspect in the explosion that occurred at a Tesla Cybertruck manufacturing facility in the city earlier this month.

According to authorities, the suspect is 35-year-old Robert Allen, who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with arson and burglary.

The explosion occurred on January 13 at the Tesla Gigafactory 1 facility, which is located in the Apex Industrial Park. The incident caused significant damage to the building and surrounding area, and no one was injured.

Police say that Allen entered the facility through an unlocked door and set fire to a pile of materials on the floor. The fire quickly spread, causing the explosion.

Allen is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on $100,000 bail. His motive for the arson is still unclear, but police say they are investigating all possible motives.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
