Jackson Breaks Record, Shatters Expectations in Dominant Performance

Ad

Jackson, the electrifying quarterback since his 2018 entry into the league, needed only 87 rushing yards to pass Vick’s record. He quickly accomplished this feat on a 48-yard sprint to pay dirt, which not only brought the score to 24-2 but also showcased his incredible speed of 21.25 miles per hour, the third-fastest speed recorded by a quarterback in the Next Gen Stats era. This speed surpassed his own personal best, which came from this same game.

“I was jogging,” Jackson joked. “I was straight. I didn’t have to do anything.”

But Jackson’s dominance extended beyond a single play. He consistently frustrated the Houston D by buying time in the pocket and picking up crucial yards with his feet, setting up easy conversions and displaying his impressive arm strength by tossing two touchdowns on 10-of-15 passing.

With this performance, Jackson broke the record in just 102 games, 41 fewer than Vick. With the playoffs approaching, Jackson will be looking to make his most important run – a run to the Super Bowl.
