Kai Madison Trump, the 17-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr., has become a social media sensation after posting a vlog on TikTok and YouTube about her grandfather’s Inauguration Day. The 14-minute YouTube video has racked up nearly 27 million combined views.
The video shows Kai getting ready for the day, including her hair and makeup done by a team, before attending a church service with her family. They then head to the U.S. Capitol, where President Donald Trump is inaugurated. Although she wasn’t allowed to film the event, Kai included several clips.
After the ceremony, Kai and her family attended the Liberty Inauguration Ball, where she wore a stunning silver sequined Sherri Hill gown. She showcased her dress, pointing out the details she loved. The dress designer is linked to her video description, but it’s unclear if they have a business relationship.
The family dropped by the White House to visit President Trump, entering through a side door. They took photos in front of the fireplace and in the Green, Blue, and Red rooms. Kai documented her tour for her 806,000 YouTube subscribers.
Her video gained traction quickly, reaching nearly 1.5 million views and 83,000 likes on YouTube in less than a day.
Kai gained national attention previously when she spoke at the Republican National Convention in July, captivating America’s hearts with her portrayal of Trump as a “normal grandpa”. She shared personal anecdotes, such as him sneaking her candy and soda and playing competitive rounds of golf together.
Kai has also announced her commitment to play collegiate golf at the University of Miami starting in August.
Her production representation, AKA Collective, was contacted for a statement but failed to respond in time. However, the Collective lists pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who posted a viral YouTube video with Trump earlier this year, as one of its clients.
