In six days, President Joe Biden will leave the Oval Office, a defeated man. His party’s loss in November is just the beginning, as he has also destroyed his party’s progressive agenda. Biden’s term is marked by his abandonment of his party’s most sacred cows, including the destructive DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) mandate, the woke ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment directive, and “gender-affirming care” that allows the mutilation of young bodies.
Corporate America is responding by scaling back DEI programs and dropping ESG guidelines, as they become increasingly concerned with the legality and meritocracy. The Supreme Court’s ruling against Harvard’s race-based admissions policies and last year’s election results have also contributed to this shift.
Financial firms are dropping ESG guidelines, as investors are losing confidence in these measures. Major investment managers and banks have exited the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative and the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, respectively. Additionally, 26 states have banned or limited “gender-affirming care” for teens and children, following similar measures in Europe.
Unlimited immigration, a long-standing Democratic goal, is also under attack in the U.S. and Europe. Trump has promised to overturn Biden’s lawless approach to immigration.
The Left’s ultimate weapon, censorship, is also on the run. The Disinformation Governance Board has been shut down, and social media platforms are no longer fact-checking, a euphemism for banning non-conforming expression.
As President Trump prepares to take office, he is promising to restore common sense and bring an end to Biden’s failed presidency. A majority of Americans are looking forward to Trump’s inauguration and a return to normalcy. January 20 cannot come soon enough.
