Is Aaron Glenn Built to Coach the Jets?
Aaron Glenn, the newly appointed head coach of the New York Jets, made his presence known in his introductory press conference, stating that the Jets are “built for this.” However, Craig Carton disagrees, citing the tumultuous history of the Jets and the need for Glenn to shake things up.
In his first media scrum, Glenn faced questions about Aaron Rodgers’ future with the team. Glenn stated that the team is still in evaluation mode, and if reporters continue to ask the same questions, he’ll give the same answer. Rodgers, who has won 153 games in the regular season and is a one-time Super Bowl champion, responded to questions about his future, saying that the team will have conversations in the next few days and that he needs time away to think about his future.
Glenn discussed his criteria for a quarterback, stating that a “winner” is what he looks for. If it’s as simple as that, Rodgers would be a shoo-in to return, but Glenn noted that it won’t be the only factor. Rodgers has had a tumultuous 2024 season, battling through injuries to throw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns.
