Jeff Hardy: The High-Flying Pro Wrestler Who Refuses to Hang Up His Boots
Jeff Hardy is one of the most beloved and respected pro wrestlers of his generation. Known for his death-defying stunts and aerial attacks, Hardy has left an indelible mark on the sport. Throughout his career, he has performed in WWE in three separate stints, earning several championships, including the WWE championship and World Heavyweight championship.
Despite the heights of his career, Hardy’s personal struggles with addiction and legal troubles derailed his path to success. However, he has recently spoken out about his regrets and what could have been. In an interview with WFAA-TV, Hardy stated that if he had been living a healthier lifestyle, he believes he could have been bigger than John Cena.
“I was born with such a gift to be a pro wrestler. It just felt so natural, like I was totally created to do this thing,” Hardy said.
At 47, Hardy is still an active competitor, having performed for TNA Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and All Elite Wrestling, among others. He and his brother, Matt, are currently the tag-team champions for TNA Wrestling, a title they won at Bound for Glory last year.
Hardy credits his continued success to his newfound commitment to his well-being, including the use of ice baths, which he claims has been beneficial for his mental and physical health. When asked how long he plans to continue wrestling, Hardy simply replied, “I’ll just pretty much wrestle until I can’t wrestle anymore.”
Despite his impressive career and accolades, Hardy remains humble and grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what he loves.
