Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will be facing the biggest game of his football career on Sunday as he takes on the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship. The 23-year-old quarterback has been making waves with his impressive performance, including throwing two touchdowns last week to help secure an upset victory over the top-seeded Detroit Lions.
However, Daniels’ personal life is also making headlines. His mother, Regina Jackson, recently revealed that she’s not concerned about him getting romantically involved with anyone, citing that there are potentially women out there trying to take advantage of her son’s rising star.
In a clip from Amazon Prime Video’s docuseries “The Money Game,” Jackson expressed her concerns about women who might be looking to get close to her son for financial gain. “Some girl out here, she’s got a Jayden Daniels wall and her mama says, ‘Hey honey, you’re going to be the one to get ’em.’ And I know that sounds crazy, but I guarantee there’s someone who’s trying to get their hooks into Jayden Daniels,” she said.
Jackson emphasized that she’s grateful to have a “mama like me” who can keep a close eye on her son. “So thank god he got a mama like me because it ain’t happening,” she added.
Former Eagles running back and FOX Sports co-host LeSean McCoy chimed in, agreeing with Jackson’s sentiments. “Sound like my mom lol the MOMs KNO,” he wrote on Twitter.
Daniels himself appears unfazed by his mother’s comments, saying, “I bet she did say something like that” with a smile. He’s also expressed gratitude for his mother’s protective nature, saying “Nothing gets past my mama. She reads people, she doesn’t want to put people around me that she doesn’t feel will benefit me.”
