Washington Commanders Quarterback Taylor Daniels Leads Team to Victory, Achieves Historic Feat
Taylor Daniels, the Commanders’ rookie quarterback, led his team to a thrilling win, acknowledging that he knew they would need to put up points against a highly explosive offense. This achievement comes just six days after Daniels led the Commanders to their first postseason victory since 2005, and he became the first Washington rookie QB since Sammy Baugh to lead the franchise to a playoff win.
For Daniels, it’s the latest in a remarkable first year, where he has showcased his exceptional arm, legs, and poise beyond his years to turn around a long-struggling franchise. His head coach, Dan Quinn, praised Daniels, saying, “He just has a different poise about him than most, and he’s a rare competitor, there’s no doubt about that.”
During the regular season, Daniels finished with 3,568 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions, setting a rookie QB record.
