Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Sexual Assault Accuser Admits to “Inconsistencies” in Her Recollection of the Night of the Alleged Rape
Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sexual assault accuser, known as Jane Doe, has admitted to making “some mistakes” in her recollection of the night of the alleged rape. In an interview with NBC News, Jane Doe stated that she has made “some mistakes” and acknowledged that she has provided inconsistent information about the events that occurred.
Jane Doe claims that she was sexually assaulted by the two rap moguls at a VMAs after-party in 2000, when she was just 13 years old. She alleges that Jay-Z and Combs took turns assaulting her in a bedroom, and that she was given a drink by a cocktail waitress before the alleged assault.
However, Jane Doe has now admitted to making mistakes in her recollection of the events, including claiming that her father picked her up after the alleged assault, but her father does not recall this. She also claimed to have spoken to an unnamed celebrity at the after-party, but the celebrity has said that they were not in New York at the time of the event.
Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, has called the lawsuit a “shameful money grab” and has asked the court to dismiss the case. Combs has denied the allegations in a statement.
Jane Doe’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, has maintained that his client’s story is true and has vowed to continue fighting for her. He has also stated that Jane Doe has agreed to take a polygraph test to corroborate her claims.
The lawsuit accuses Jay-Z and Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, and seeks unspecified damages. The case is ongoing.
