New Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen Continues to Assemble Staff, Hires Anthony Campanile as Defensive Coordinator

The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Anthony Campanile, former linebackers coach/running game coordinator of the Green Bay Packers, as their new defensive coordinator. The announcement was made on Thursday night.

“I believe Anthony Campanile represents exactly what we want to be as a defensive unit and football team,” Coen said in a team statement. “He brings an aggressive defensive mindset and a system that is adaptable to our players and allows them to play fast and physical.”

Campanile has an impressive coaching background, having spent one season with the Packers, where they allowed just 99.4 rushing yards per game, ranking seventh in the NFL. Prior to his time in Green Bay, he spent four seasons as the linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins.
